This estimate is a nonbinding one and is based on the information provided by the customer. The final cost of the move will be determined by the actual number of hours worked, including the travel time.
The travel time from our warehouse (located in East Boston) to the pickup address and then from the drop-off address back to our warehouse is already included in your estimate.
All local moves, including moves to and from NH, VT, ME, RI, CT, NY, NJ are done on an hourly rate basis.
All our employees are professional movers, we are fully licensed and covered by our Workers’ Compensation. No daily laborers will be used on any of our relocations. 617 Boston Movers will make this stressful and time-consuming event a wonderful experience.
Time starts when our team of movers leaves the storage facility, located in East Boston MA, and ends when the team returns to our storage facility. If storage services are requested, the time will end after everything is unloaded into one of our storage units.
There is a minimum of 3 hr. charge for all moves and we charge in 15 min increments. The travel time is included in the minimum charge.
All certificates of insurance are issued after the move has been booked with 617 Boston Movers.
We ask all the customers to check in with the buildings that require proof of insurance to see what exactly they need us to list on the certificate. Most buildings require a certificate holder and an additional insured listed, so please make sure you include all that in your request for proof of insurance.
There are no additional fees for obtaining a certificate of insurance.
Parking permits are pulled by 617 Boston Movers only if the customer requests that in writing, at least 5 business days prior to the moving date. We handle parking permits year-round for Boston only EXCEPT for moves that are scheduled during the month of August and September 1st.
The cost of one parking permit (one location) is $255.00. Included in this price: pulling the parking permits, posting the signs 48hr. prior to the moving date.
617 Boston Movers cannot be held responsible if the “no parking” signs are taken down by neighbors/passersby/vandals.
If any parking tickets are applied during the move, those will be added to the final cost of the relocation.
Valuable items such as: cash, documents, jewelry, gift cards, family photos, remote controls, keys, etc. should be removed prior to the move as we have NO liability over these items.
All the drawers need to be empty and their content should be properly packed.
As a moving carrier, we are only allowed to transport household goods, no living plants or animals will be moved along with your shipment.
Customers are not allowed in the truck at any time, so you will need to arrange your own transportation.
Final payment: CASH or CREDIT CARD only (no CHECKS accepted)
If payments are made in cash, we offer a 10% discount on the remaining balance after the deposit has been deducted.
For credit card payments, the name on the card must match the name the reservation is under; otherwise, an authorization form must be signed by the person paying for the move.
